Privacy Policy
Effective September 15, 2026
ChordDAW is a free chord-to-MIDI tool created by Dean Lee. This policy explains what information the website at chorddaw.me collects and how it is used.
Information you provide
If you send feedback, ChordDAW stores the feedback category, message, page, any chord text you choose to include, and an optional email address. This information is used only to review your report, improve ChordDAW, and reply when you request a response.
Analytics and local preferences
ChordDAW does not use Google Analytics or its own visitor-tracking system. Your theme, example-dialog preference, and preview volume may be saved locally in your browser so the tool remembers your choices.
Essential service cookies
Cloudflare may set essential security cookies needed to protect and deliver the website. ChordDAW does not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies.
Abuse prevention
When feedback is submitted, limited technical information is processed to validate the request and enforce short-term rate limits. Network identifiers are converted into a one-way hash for this purpose, and expired rate-limit records are removed automatically.
Service providers
ChordDAW uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and security. These providers may process limited technical information according to their own privacy terms.
Data retention and choices
Feedback is kept only while useful for operating and improving ChordDAW. To request access to or deletion of feedback connected to your email address, contact Dean using the email button below.
Children
ChordDAW is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
This policy may be updated when ChordDAW’s features or services change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
